The Northern California Minority Supplier Development Council (NCMSDC), a local non-profit dedicated to promoting minority supplier development, announced the winners of its 2011 Excellence in Supplier Diversity Awards at its 34th Annual Gala on April 6 in San Francisco. Present to celebrate the eleven corporate awards winners were over 370 guests from major Fortune 500 corporations, Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBEs), and strategic alliance partners.
In recognition of this year's corporate awards winners, NCMSDC President Scott A. Vowels commented, "In these challenging economic times, the inclusion of minority businesses in the procurement process demonstrates an enduring commitment to diversity and community development. Such commitment only comes with top-down support and genuine corporate stewardship. I commend the eleven winners of NCMSDC's 2011 Excellence in Supplier Diversity Awards for their ongoing leadership."
Over thirty Corporate Members and certified MBEs competed for eleven distinguished awards.
