Corporate University Xchange Awards Farmers and Farmers Insurance

Farmers Insurance and the University of Farmers received the corporate awards at the 13th Annual gala CUX Awards for Excellence and Innovation in Corporate Learning. The event was held as part of the three-day Global Leadership Congress at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia from May 15-17, 2012.

The Corp U Awards for Excellence and Innovation are the longest running independent evaluation of corporate learning and talent programs in the United States. The corporate awards honor corporate, non-profit and government learning organizations that improve both business and employee performance through Alignment, Alliances, Branding, Launching, Leadership Development, Learning Technology, and Measurement.

A panel of independent, expert judges from companies including Ernst and Young, Westinghouse, GE Energy, and Aon Hewitt scored the award applicants based on various criteria specific to each category.

Farmers competed with organizations such as Microsoft, NASA, Raytheon and Westinghouse in winning the two awards

3D Systems Named as American Technology Award Finalist

3D Systems Corporation has been named a finalist in the Consumer Electronics Computers and Peripherals category for the 2012 TechAmerica Foundation American Technology Awards (ATA's). The ATA's cross the technology industry recognizing technology products and services like Cube(R) home 3D Printer. The corporate awards winners will be announced at the Technology and Government gala dinner in Washington, D.C. on June 13, 2012.

HACR Recognizes 30 Young Professionals

HACR's "Young Hispanic Corporate Achievers(TM)" gathered in Chicago in April
The Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility recognized 30 young professionals at the 2012 HACR Young Hispanic Corporate Achievers(TM) (YHCA) Program in Chicago, IL. The corporate awards reception was held at the Fairmont Chicago on April 17 and was sponsored by Altria.

"I was honored to be a part of presenting the awards to the winners of the Young Hispanic Corporate Achievers award in Chicago. It was a talented group of professionals whose accomplishments within their companies and their communities make us all proud. They are all excellent examples of how diversity is an asset," said Altria's Vice President and General Counsel Jose Luis Murillo.

Now in its sixth year, the annual corporate awards program recognizes between 25-30 young Hispanics at Fortune 500 and/or HACR corporate member companies. Once selected, the young executives participate in an intensive three-day leadership development, education, and training conference.

To qualify for the HACR YHCA Program, nominees and candidates should be of Hispanic heritage and be between the ages of 25-40 at the time the award is received. They must be employed at a Fortune 500 and/or HACR corporate member companies. Winners are selected based on their demonstrated leadership qualities and capabilities within their respective corporations and have a commitment to the Hispanic community.

Corporate Value Awards Given in Indiana

The Indiana chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) announced the 2012 winners of its 8th Annual Corporate Value Awards last evening. These corporate awards recognize Indiana-based companies whose energy, creativity and Hoosier ingenuity represent the best characteristics of the Indiana business community. These companies have successfully developed and executed significant growth initiatives within the past year.

Corporate awards are granted in four categories: Small Cap Value, Large Cap Value, Deal of the Year, and the Vision Award. Award winners were selected from among many nominees to represent companies with sales under $500 million and with sales over $500 million, as well as those that pursued a growth strategy through acquisition.

Recipients of the award were recognized at a dinner on May 3rd at Union Station. The dinner was sold out and nearly 300 of Indiana's top M&A deal making professionals were in attendance. Mr. Greg Morris, President of the Indianapolis Business Journal, presided over the event as the Master of Ceremonies. As a special feature of this year's dinner, Mr. Morris moderated a discussion with Indianapolis Mayor Gregory Ballard and Citizens Energy Group CEO Carey Likens on the 2011 Central 
Indiana water utility transaction.

2012 BTA Awards Recognize Toshiba as Best Product Line Provider

Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc., a leading managed document services (MDS) provider and business printing solutions innovator, today announced it has been recognized with the Business Technology Association's (BTA) 2012 Channel's Choice Award for Superior Performance as a Primary Product Line Provider.
